Jason is clearly an accomplished songwriter. I don’t know if I’d have any advice. He seems to know what he’s doing.
- Dave Matthews
Thoughtful, dynamic and soulful might describe Jason Matkin’s music, but you can’t quite describe the emotions you feel when you actually listen to it. Influenced heavily by the likes of Ed Sheeran, Passenger, Jason Mraz and Tracy Chapman, to name a few, the Southern California singer songwriter has already made a name for himself. Not only is he the winner of the Carnegie Hall Music Exchange’s national songwriter search, but he’s also performed at the Route 40 Music Festival in South Africa. In addition to his international success, Jason is also active in promoting suicide prevention and has performed several benefit concerts to help the cause. With his second full-length record on the way, Jason’s ready to take on the world — and he’ll be sweeping critics and fans alike off their feet with him.
